Zandvoort and its surroundings are made for cycling. The beautiful landscape, the long boulevard, the dunes and the beach, everything. Don’t want to bring your own bikes to Zandvoort? You can rent them at the Tourist Information, among other places. The Tourist Information also has many different bicycle maps.

In the National Park Zuid-Kennemerland, north of Zandvoort, you will find an extensive network of paved bicycle paths made for wonderful rides. Haarlem, too, can be easily reached by bike. In just thirty minutes you cycle through nature to the beautiful old town, where you can ride along the river Spaarne and around the Mooie Nel. And there are plenty of possible watering holes along the way, obviously.

On the southern edge of Zandvoort are the dunes of the reserve the Amsterdamse Waterleidingduinen. Although this deer-filled area is the domain of walkers, and cyclists are not allowed, the bike paths around it are more than worth a look. Ride your bike from Zandvoort towards Noordwijk, with the sea on your right and the dunes of the Waterleidingduinen on your left. And if you go inland around the Amsterdamse Waterleidingduinen, you can go through the bulb flower fields back towards Zandvoort. In springtime, you will have a magnificent view of a typically Dutch and colorful landscape.
